Pastoral Greetings in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
St. Francis Parish is a welcome home for those who have been marginalized by the church. We are dedicated to our relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord.
"So yet here you have an order for prayer much agreeable to the mind and purpose of the old fathers."
-From the Preface of the First Book of Common Prayer, 1549
We extend a welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, filthy rich or dirt poor. We extend a special welcome to those who are carrying newborns, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds.
We welcome those who can sing like Andrea Bocelli or like our pastor who can’t carry a note in a bucket. We welcome those who are “just browsing”, just woke up or just got out of jail. We welcome those who have perfect attendance pins since they were a child and those who haven’t been in church since little Joey’s baptism. We welcome those who are straight or LGBTQ+. We welcome those that are certain where they belong and those still searching.
We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome soccer moms, NASCAR dads, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you’re having problems or you’re down in the dumps or if you don’t like “organized religion”, we’ve been there too.
We offer a special welcome to those who think the earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell, or because grandma is in town and wanted to go to church.
We welcome those who are inked, pierced or both. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down your throat as a kid or got lost in traffic and wound up here by mistake. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts…and you! A hearty Christian welcome is extended to you!
WELCOME HOME

A traditional Anglican parish of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church instituted by Our Lord Jesus Christ. In our worship, we profess the orthodox Christian Faith by joyfully proclaiming the timeless Gospel of our Saviour and celebrating the seven Holy Sacraments as received in the canonical Holy Scriptures and the teachings of the Church Fathers. In our services we use the 1928 Book of Common Prayer which contains prayers and affirmations of Faith dating to the beginning of Christianity and the traditional Anglican liturgy. This liturgy has been continuously used since it was first published in 1549.

Episcopal meaning governed by Bishops of valid Apostolic succession. Bishops are successors to the Apostles and, among other secular and ecclesiastical duties, confirm new members to the Church. The Faith teaches and we believe that children are covered by Baptismal grace. At the age of discretion, children are given Catechism and Confirmation instruction, after which they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation conferred by a Bishop and their first communion. We do this as a balance between catholic and reformed teaching and is Scripturally based, partly on St. Paul's words in I Corinthians 11:29, "discerning the Lord's body."
Although we are episcopal, we do not have any affiliation with The Protestant Episcopal Church in North America or The Episcopal Church, USA

In America, the term “Catholic” is usually associated with the Roman Catholic Church, however, the term comes from a Biblical Greek term for “universal”. To be Catholic is to be a member of the Universal Church founded by Jesus and his first apostles. The Catholic faith is rooted in Scripture, Tradition, the Creeds, the Holy Mysteries (Sacraments), and the historic ministry of Deacons, Priests and Bishop (within Apostolic Succession).
Globally there are millions of non-Roman Catholics found in the many other Catholic churches including the Orthodox, Old Catholic, and Anglican churches.
Anglicans are considered Reformed Catholics.
At St. Francis we use the King James Version and the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible, both with the Apocrypha. An online format is available to you to follow with us by clicking the link below.
